los carb success "I started the Dress Size Reduction Diet the beginning of March 2008. As a personal trainer and former bodybuilding competitor I have had a lot of experience with different nutritional programs. I really like this program because it is SO easy to follow.

I have lost 6 pounds and went down a size in just 5 weeks. And since I'm already in great shape thanks to my job, these results are outstanding!

carb rotation diet review "I would never consider this book to be a diet book and I think that is why it works. Diet books usually donÌt bring lasting results, if any at all. Dramatic Dress Size Reduction Diet is chocked full of tips and a plan that (when implemented) will get you the results that you desire. Jayson walks you through the steps you will need to take to lose your excess weight. What I like is that you donÌt even have to have an event planned to go on this ÎdietÌ. You just have to want change. You can do the 30 day plan but you can have lasting results because you have learned how to eat for your future as well. The idea of carb cycling is awesome. You arenÌt depleting your body, yet you are able to lose weight.

As a health and fitness enthusiast, I would highly recommend this book. After all-it was written by a trusted dietitian-not some person who just wants to sell books and get you on the next fad diet!"

Julie Russell

"I just want to say Thank You for the Dress Size Reduction Diet - it is exactly what I needed! The carb reduction days are easy and I feel like I am full and really satisfied all the time.

Right now I am on day 9 and I feel soooo much better already. My belly flab is melting and I feel 'smoother'. I have already noticed my clothes feeling looser, I am easily pulling my size 8's on and can tell I will be slipping back into those 6's very soon. I can't wait to see what the entire 30 days will let me accomplish! I also want to add that I chose to upgrade to the package that included the 30 Day Meal Plan?.what a Perfect Plan! It doesn't get any simpler than that!

Thanks again - this is a great plan?.worth every penny!!"

"The 'secrets' to fat loss have always been a combination of cardiovascular exercise, nutrition, and resistance exercise. For most trainers - professionally, practically and legally - a solid nutrition program has always been the missing link to their client’s success. Jayson Hunter is the difference between a good program and a fantastic program".

"After seventeen years in the fitness and weight loss field - I have a core group of experts that I trust and respect. Jayson Hunter has become my go-to guy when it comes to nutritional counseling, weight management programming and operations. He's the best there is"

"Hey Jayson In just 20 days I've dropped 6 pounds, my clothes are fitting a lot better, and there is a noticeable difference in the mirror! I can feel that my metabolism is speeding up and working like it used to.

Best of all, I am not counting calories. I am really glad that I bought your recommended meals and snacks, because that was a wonderful kick-start and made it a lot easier to get going with the program than it would have been if I had to figure it out on my own. Thank you so much for making this wonderful program available!!!!"

Stephanie's Success with the Six Pack Abs program

Below are some of the testimonials I've received from some of the readers from around the world. I thank all of you for being thoughtful and taking the time to write to me about your successes that you've had with my Truth about Six Pack Abs program and for allowing me to share your thoughts with the world about how you enjoyed this program. -- Michael Geary

Stephanie before using Truth About Abs Stephanie after getting great results

Mike,

I attached a couple photos to show you how far I've come since starting your program, it was quite shocking to see what I looked like just last year!! I had forgotten how overweight I was, and looking at these before and after pics again almost made me cry but tears of joy this time, as I'm so thankful for how much progress I've made.

Not only do I feel so healthy and vibrant, but I feel that I look younger now too! It's wonderful! I went from a size 14 to a 5. Weight wise I was around 190 lb. when I started and now I am 120 lbs. I'm so passionate about your book and style of nutrition - it's absolutely amazing. I don't crave unhealthy stuff anymore. I have eliminated an insane sweet tooth.

I happened upon your book about 9 months ago. Once I downloaded and printed your ebook, I read it once, and then again. There is so much information in there that expands beyond just working out and abs. The nutritional information was fascinating, and I believe that was what helped me get to where I am today. The workouts are also so challenging, and talk about breaking a sweat! I love it.

I have SO MANY people ask me what diet I was doing to lose all that weight. They just don't understand that I'm not on a diet. It's been a total lifestyle change. I would recommend your book to anyone! I feel exceptional, and I am in the best shape of my life!

I hope that my testimonial will help you out, as well as other people that have struggled to get in shape. Thank you so much!!

How to overeat without gaining weight

The overeating experiment

by Mike Geary
Truth About Abs

I decided to use myself as a guinea pig and attempt an overeating
experiment over the last 6 weeks.

Basically, I wanted to see how much weight I would gain if I purposely tried to
overeat on a consistent daily basis for 6 weeks.

What do you think happened? Did I get fat? Maintain the same? Get leaner?

My theory was that if you eat the right types of super nutrient-dense foods and
don't stray from those foods, that the body will automatically rebalance itself
(hormones, appetite, etc)... and even though you're attempting to overeat, as long
as nutrient-density is maximized, total calorie balance will inevitably end up at a
level where I would not gain weight.

This goes along with my theory that calorie counting is basically pointless as long
as your nutrient density of your foods is so high that the body obtains all of the
nutrition it needs and re-balances your appetite and hormones to account for this.

Think of it this way... if you eat 1000 calories worth of soda, donuts, and cookies,
your body needs to readjust hormone levels, increase your appetite and try to force
you ingest more food to attempt to get more nutrients, since those 1000 calories
were almost devoid of the nutrition your body needs.

However, if you eat 1000 calories worth of healthy foods with high nutrient density
such as avocados, whole eggs, nuts, vegetables, fruits, grass fed meats, and other
healthy options, your body obtains most of the nutrition it needs and accounts for
this by leveling your appetite and hormones in the time period following that meal
(the remainder of the day perhaps). In this scenerio, your body is not forcing you
to eat more food (via cravings) to obtain the nutrition it needs since it already
received a boatload of nutrition.

Ok, here were the caveats in my little experiment:

1. I couldn't just eat any and all types of foods... I would overeat on as much food
as I wanted, but ONLY the foods that are "approved" according to my rules... this
means all foods had to be unprocessed natural foods.

Some staples during my overeating phase were tons of whole eggs, full-fat grass-fed
raw cheese and yogurt, avocados, almonds, pecans, walnuts, lots of virgin coconut
oil and olive oil, grass-fed butter, berries, lots of fruit and veggies, sprouted
grain bread, raw almond butter, sweet potatoes, and lots of venison and grass-fed
beef.

2. I was still training very intensely 3-4 days/week at the gym but nothing
extremely different from my normal workouts (this means that my caloric expenditure
from exercise was not drastically different than normal).

The end result after 6 weeks of trying to stuff my face with as much healthy food as
possible:

>> My body weight stayed EXACTLY the same! I didn't gain a single pound.

I know the first reaction of many people is that I just must have a "fast
metabolism" or something along those lines and that's why I didn't gain weight.

But that is false!

The truth is that I have no problem at all gaining weight when I overeat on junk
foods, or lots of processed foods in general. I can guarantee you that if I was
overeating on pasta, white rice, cookies, white bread, and other processed foods
during these last 6 weeks, I would have gained a massive amount of weight.

In fact, as I've mentioned before, in the past I've easily gained as much as 10 lbs
in only 1 week when I've been on some sort of vacation and simply eat the normal
types of processed foods that everyone else is eating.

This proves that I'm just as prone to gaining weight as anybody else.

However, notice the stark contrast in my experiment with attempting to overeat on
all healthy unprocessed foods... I simply couldn't gain weight because my body would
be constantly readjusting hormone levels and appetite levels to account for the
super-high nutrient density I was giving it.

In the end, this meant that my body automatically maintained calorie balance without
the need for calorie counting.

This is the type of eating that pretty much totally eliminates cravings... Remember
I've said before that I don't think I've had any real cravings in at least 5 years
(that's the time since I've been more strict on the type of foods I eat).

I also think it's actually fun and more enjoyable to eat in such a healthy manner
(for the skeptics that think this involves some sort of deprivation).

As I've mentioned before, I think one of the programs that gives some of the best
guidelines for eating healthy and truly enjoying your food for lifelong success is
Isabel De Los Rios' program -- The non diet

The body transformation game

Lynne started the Lean Eating Coaching program at 122lbs at
29% body fat.

She finished the program weighing in at a happy and healthy
110lbs at 23% body fat.

Now, that's great progress. However, being in the body
transformation game for a long time now, I realize that the
numbers never tell the real story.

This letter, on the other hand, does...

Dear Coach Ryan,

You may be too young to remember the movie, To Sir
with Love, starring Sidney Poitier and Lulu.

But if you ever get the chance to watch it, you'll
understand how I feel.

At the end of the movie, Lulu sings a song to her
teacher (Sidney Poitier) and she sings:

"How do you thank someone who has taken you from
crayons to perfume..."

We'll, to be honest, that's how I feel wrapping up
this course.

I look awesome! I feel awesome! I have lost 12lbs,
mostly body fat.

I am stronger, leaner, healthier and smarter than I
ever was.

I feel renewed, re-energized and have re-focused my
priorities and my time.

In fact, the other day I looked back at my "before"
pictues. And, to be honest, I no longer look
anything like them.

But the results don't stop with me.

My hubby has lost 23 pounds just following along
with me. He's at his lowest weight in 30 years.
He's so proud of his accomplishment. We all are.

In addition, my son (who's 24) has gained some major
muscle mass. He recently told me I'm the best mom
for turning him on to PN.

Finally, my daughter (who's 21) has really toned and
tightened up. She's now working toward becoming a
fitness model. She recently told me that this is
the happiest and healthiest she's ever been.

Isn't that amazing? What I thought was going to be
a program just for me turned out to be an entire
healthy lifestyle change for my entire family.

You know, I thought they would resist my new meals,
new attitude, new knowledge, etc. Instead they have
100% embraced the PN program.

I'm grateful from the bottom of my heart...we all
are.

I've gotta be honest. It's been an amazing, emotional week
for us here at PN. Having wrapped up this last Lean Eating
Coaching Group
, the stories like these are pouring in. And
these stories have taught me a very important lesson.

It's great to track body composition changes and to create
awesome before and after pictures.

But body transformation is about so much more than the
numbers. It's about really changing lives.

Shane: I've lost 126 pounds

Lose Big with Jillian MichaelsUpdated Jan. 29, 2008

I wasn't overweight as a child. In fact, I was quite healthy. I played sports and was good at both Australian football and squash. I didn't really start to put on weight until my brother died in a car accident in 1994. I was the one who broke the news to my parents, and while I knew I had to be strong for them, I didn't deal very well with my own feelings. I turned to food for comfort and stopped exercising. I just ate more and more.

I knew that being overweight made me very unhealthy. I have no doubt that I would have had major health problems within five years. In fact, it's entirely possible that I would have been dead within ten years had I not made a change.

Choosing to Change

My decision to do something about my weight was purely a result of watching Jillian on the American version of The Biggest Loser. There was something about her that made me want to try out for the show. I guess it was the way the show portrayed her --as a tough-as-nails drill sergeant who wouldn't quit on you until you reached your goal. I knew I needed that. So I applied for the Australian version of the show --I didn't really think I would make it, but I did!

New Body, New Life

Before being on the show and meeting Jillian Michaels, my fitness routine was nonexistent. Basically, I didn't exercise at all. Despite this, I found it really easy to stick to the program Jillian created for me. Once you get the hang of it, it's so simple. Now I get annoyed if I miss out on my training, even for one day. And I can physically handle almost anything. I take karate five or six days a week and do weight sessions in the gym, and I'm so much more social.

I've even completed my accreditation to become a personal trainer myself, so that I can pass on what I've learned to others. So many people have told me that I inspired them to begin their path to a healthier life. This makes me want to reach out to even more people!

I've also completely changed the way I look at food. I used to eat a lot of takeout, but now I prepare most of my own meals, which consist primarily of lean meat and vegetables. That isn't to say that I don't have the occasional treat, like chocolate or a piece of cake. Now I just eat those things in moderation.

Now that I've lost 126 pounds,* I have the energy to do anything I want. I love being able to buy clothes off the rack. I love having more confidence in myself than I've had for a long time. I love everything about the new me.

People often ask about my experience on the show with Jillian. I always tell them, "Jillian Michaels is truly one of the most beautiful people that I have ever met. Sometimes you meet someone and you just click. That's what it was like."

Shane's Words of Wisdom

Advice for Every Day: People just don't believe in themselves as much as they should. Most people look for someone else to believe in them first, before they take action to achieve their goals. I've found that it works the other way around. Once you take action, you're suddenly surrounded by people who support and believe in you.

Advice for the Long Haul: I think it's very important to keep an open mind about weight loss and to try different things until you find something that works for you. For me, that meant finding something I could sustain for the rest of my life. In fact, the most revolutionary thing I learned was that I could eat all the foods I love, as long as I ate them in moderation and as part of a balanced diet and a regular exercise program.

Take Your Show on the Road: I always find ways to exercise when I'm away from home. This might mean walking instead of taking a cab, going for a quick run, taking the stairs instead of the elevator, or playing football with my friends. And at restaurants, I always find a way to order a healthy meal. Many people are afraid to ask for sauce on the side or steamed veggies instead of fries, but it never hurts to ask. I figure, if I'm paying for my food, they should prepare it to how I want it.

Write It Down: When I started the program, I wrote down all the things that I wanted to achieve in life. This made me realize something: The odds of getting any of those things done were really slim unless I made some pretty drastic life changes. I keep that list in front of me every day. I've achieved some of the goals, but I've added a lot more.

Favorite Compliment: I think the most meaningful compliment was given by a friend who actually walked right past me in the street without recognizing me! She said that I had changed so much it was like looking at a completely new person.

Jillian Michaels Weight Loss Success Stories

Check out what one of Jillian Michaels members recently said about how worth it sticking with the program really is:
Updated Jan. 30, 2008

"I am a 43-year-old senior manager at a large corporation who has been dieting for 20 years! I've done all the major diets, and I haven't eaten anything guilt-free for years. When I heard Jillian Michaels explain, 'It's all about the math -- you must burn more calories than you consume,' I finally realized that losing weight might actually be possible.

I've been following Jillian Michaels's program now for four weeks, and I'm currently going to the gym four times a week for 45-minute sessions! I have lost 11 pounds* -- I still have a long way to go, but this is the first time my weight has kept going down. My skirts are loose; my pants are too long because of my shrinking belly; and my watchband is hanging around my wrist -- soon I'll be able to tighten it a whole notch!

Some days are hard -- all that weighing, counting, and sweating -- but I have to say, it all feels worth it!"

How I lost 92 pounds

Lose Big with Jillian Michaels
"With Jillian's help, I lost 92 pounds and gained a new life! *

Updated May 22, 2008

I've struggled with my weight all of my life. I went from being a chubby kid, to a slightly overweight teenager, to an obese adult. I was anywhere between 70 and 110 pounds overweight, which is clinically obese and clearly a health risk. As a teacher, I was sending my students a poor message. The example I was setting was unacceptable.

At 28, I decided to take control of my life in a big way. I signed on to be a contestant on The Biggest Loser. But I was still skeptical. I'd tried every diet under the sun and had failed at every one.

Then Jillian became my trainer. She quickly saw right through me — she could tell that I didn't believe I could do it. Her first order of business was to teach me that weight loss is a physical and mental game. She never accepted less than 100 percent, and she pushed me to do things I would never have done on my own.

We focused on setting goals and using a journal to keep myself accountable. When I went down a size, I would buy myself an item of clothing I had my eye on — clothes were my goals! Within a few weeks, I'd replaced my usual food rewards with something even better — a new and improved me.

By the end of my run on the The Biggest Loser, I had lost 79 pounds. After the show, I took everything I learned from Jillian and went on to lose a total of 92 pounds. She taught me to love myself and put myself first. I still chant my mantra "let it go and believe" when things get tough or I hit a plateau. There is very little I am too afraid to try. Jillian is truly my life teacher.

97 Pounds Lost With Jillian Michaels

How Kelly Lost 97 Pounds With Jillian Michaels
Updated Jan. 29, 2008

Ever wonder how the contestants on the TV show lost all that weight? They did it with Jillian's help -- the same way you can! Find out how Kelly Minner did it!

"When Jillian Michaels became my trainer, I took one look at her and thought, "What can she know about being overweight?" But she quickly saw right through me -- she could tell that I didn't believe I could do it. Her first order of business was to teach me that weight loss is a physical and mental game. I needed to believe that it was possible, because otherwise, well, it just wasn't. She never accepted less than 100 percent, and she pushed me to do things I would never have done on my own. Jillian saw the potential in me and wanted me to see it as well.

We focused on setting goals and using a journal to keep myself accountable. Size, more than a target weight, was the most important thing to me. When I went down a size, I would buy myself an item of clothing I had my eye on - clothes were my goals! I had to really work to get an article of clothing, but it was worth it. Within a few weeks, I'd replaced my usual food rewards with something even better -- a new and improved me."

-- Kelly Minner

JILLIAN'S TIP OF THE DAY

It's easier to write it off, rather than write your own success story, right? Yeah, I know. You think the only reason it worked for Kelly was because she was on TV -- with trainers and nutritionists at her beck and call. Well, it's not true. There's nothing that Kelly did that you can't do. But, just like Kelly said, it's the mental game that you have to win. Start right now by telling yourself that you can do this! It's your time to get fit and feel great. -- Jillian Michaels
